A two-day America's Boating Course is scheduled for Saturdays, June 4 and 11, 2022.  The class runs from 0900 to 3:30 Pm  both days.  Hosted by Halifax River Yacht Club, 331 S Beach St., Daytona Beach, Fl 32114, this is the course needed for your Florida Safe Boating Education ID.  It's an excellent introduction to Boating, Boat Handling, Navigation Rules, Aides to Navigation, Florida Regs and more.  Cost is $39.50 (Cash, check (payable to DBSPS), or credit card.  Couples can share texts with a 50% discount or $59.00.  Seats are limited so call for reservations:  Don Roman, ph 386-453-6456, or, email:  abcdaytonabeach@gmail.com 

Navigation 1 (Piloting) is scheduled to start on Wednesday, 25 May'22, at Halifax River Yacht Club.  This is the first of our advanced navigation courses and running 8 to 10 weeks with weekly Wednesday evening classes from 7 PM to 9 PM, held in the Yacht Club's Chart Room at 331 S Beach St., Daytona Beach, 32114.  Course is designed to equip you with a solid base for inland and coastal navigation, i.e., understanding mercator charts, plotting courses, utilizing charts,  plotting positions, and waypoints,  planning and monitoring voyages, using GPS, and introduction to electronic navigation.  Cost for texts (3) is $121.80.  Make a reservation as soon as possible so materials can be ordered.  Call Don Roman, 386-453-6456, or email: abcdaytonabeach@gmail.com
